Wet Dog

The most fascinating thing happened to me today. I was bored and perusing various old forum haunts, and I fell across the Twilight Lexicon forums. After fighting with the password retrieval system, I managed to log back on and... lo and behold... the link to "my website" in my profile there was to this wonderful place! Ha! Big shock that I'd forgotten it ever existed, right?

Well, let's see... where do we start with the updates? I guess it's been nearly a year since I posted here (although, I must point out, I've done much better than Ethan has with his one--that's right, I counted--post. amateur. ;P )

I'm about 2 months away from graduating college, and about 4 months away from getting married, aaaaand then 4 months and a week away from attending the hopefully career-starting Publishing Institute. Honestly, even with the whole Korea trip and stuff, I don't think I've had a year so busy and full of exciting things. Luckily I'll be out of the house far before Christmas, so maybe I won't get stuck with writing the family letter this year. Haaa.

I've decided that I need to go out of the country again so that I can have some exciting adventures to write about, like I did in my Days in Daegu blog. There's just not that much going on right now... I feel so dull. I'll have to get back to this when it gets closer to the summer and all of it's thrilling events. I really need something to happen that I can take pictures of...

Er... of which I can take pictures. Sorry... sorry, everybody.

How's this for a picture post?:

I helped my mom give Duke a bath a little while ago. He spent the whole time giving himself soapy beards and then promptly licking them off. Gross. I was in charge of drying him off after mom was done with the washing and, although I had a towel all over him, he somehow managed to transfer most of his wetness onto my jeans. Thanks, Dukie. Thanks.

Last Days of Summer

I don't really know how I feel about starting school again. I haven't been out of it that long, which is new for me. I'm not really looking forward to my superlong Mondays/Wednesdays, but I guess I'll get used to it. It's too bad I couldn't work it out that I had Tue/Thur completely off, but at least I don't go in until 2. Or... maybe... I wish I went in a lot earlier so I'd have the rest of the day to do whatever.

Eh. Who needs school, anyway? I could just quit now...

Yeah, right. I wouldn't feel so bad about it if I actually had an idea of what I was going to be DOING when I graduate. I know it's normal not to have a clue what you're going to do when you're trying to pick a major, but it seems like I should have this decently figured out since I graduate in less than a year. Good lord...

I think I had things better figured out when I was a freshman, actually. What happened??

In any case, I'll be spending my last few free days on WoW, of course. What else? :P Today we're going to attempt a Gruul's Lair run, if we can get enough people together. Ooo. Exciting. And, if we can't, we'll just be finishing the Kara run that we started last night. What a shock... more Kara... :\ We really need to start moving on up.

Layouts

After spending about an hour last night trying to find a layout that I liked for this shiny new blog, I determined that the best I could find was one of the simple choices that Blogger itself provides. How boring. Rest assured that I will seek out something more exciting soon. The possibilities are wide-spread, though, and I've found that there are two main options. One requires copying and pasting a code and filling in image tags and other info where needed. The other requires downloading a layout and then uploading it to Blogger, which sounds like it would be infinitely easier, but which is - in fact - not.

My problem with either is that I want to maintain a lot of the elements that Blogger already has, like the subtitle and such, and most of the simply copy/paste layouts don't have that. Urg.

...hey, heeeeey. I just heard the click of Ethan locking his door. I wonder what he's doing in there...

ANYway, I think I'm going to work on finding a good XML layout (the download/upload type), and hopefully along with an exciting new layout will come exciting new posts, because frankly... this whole thing has been quite boring.
